No one wants to be unhealthy, and especially no one wants to have a life threatening disease. So, when we get green poop, it often causes us to worry that there might be something drastically wrong with our bodies. We ask things like why is my poop green, how long will it be green for, and what does it mean?
I’ll do my best to answer these questions for you.
Green poop is often caused by the way we eat. If you have eaten a lot of green veggies, drunken green colored soda, or have consumed an excessive amount if iron in the past couple of days, then that is probably the root cause of your green poop.
However, sometimes green poop can actually be the sign of something that has gone wrong in our body. If your feces remains green for more than a week, then it is recommended that you go see a doctor. They will be able to tell you if have anything wrong with your body, or if you simply need to wait a few more days for your feces to go back to normal.
